Lifestyle Modifications For A Healthy Life...

Helping Healthy Patients...
   Without The Use of Medications

Dr Jeffrey Davies is a board certified family physician and the medical director of St Luke’s Health Alliance.

Dr. Davies before going to medical school was an engineer with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and a Masters degree in biomedical engineering. Dr. Davies completed his family practice residency at the University of Massachusetts in Worchester His experience includes some 13 years working at Mass General Hospital as a biomechanical engineer conducting research on hip replacements. While this career was rewarding and exciting it was always Dr. Davies goal to become a family physician.

While working as a family physician, in a medical office in Carver, Massachusetts, Dr. Davies began to experience frustration as a doctor. "I was frustrated seeing so many patients in need of treatment for conditions that were completely preventable... I was quickly becoming an expert on all the latest and greatest medications used to treat high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes... If only these patients had been treated with education on diet and exercise much of their suffering could have been avoided." This was the catalyst to opening our facility here on the cape.

Our goal is not to treat symptoms with medication, although sometimes it's required, but to get patients beyond the need for them. When our patients are able to lose weight and maintain an active exercise program we're often able to get them off their medication while keeping their blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugars in check. We spend our time and energies on treating healthy people. Through education and support on the value of a healthy lifestyle, positive thinking, exercise, healthy eating and natural compounds we can effectively treat conditions like high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes before they become problematic.

It's a well established fact that high blood pressure, high cholesterol, high blood sugar dramatically increase the risk of heart attack and stroke. It is also medically well established that high blood pressure, high cholesterol, high blood sugar can be effectively treated with diet and exercise.

Patients need to take control of their own health and we help them to do just that.
